We started talking about structural racism and inequities at our Summit on June 22, and continued the conversation at our first open session webinar on July 10. The Coalition is committed to taking an equity-first lens to all our work - advancing the discussions, sharing learnings and resources, and working to address inequities in health, especially for those facing serious illness. This shift will be most immediately felt in our upcoming research and the focus of our working groups. If you're interested in learning more, or have ideas and suggestions to share, our inboxes are always open: Anna and Stephanie.

Communication creates connection and comfort during COVID-19
Our Coalition members continue to innovate and collaborate to bring meaningful communication tools, connection, and experiences to the people they serve during the pandemic:
- Ariadne Labs, The Conversation Project, and Cake have teamed up to create a simple, yet effective web-based form people can fill out and share to help them feel more prepared during COVID-19. It asks provocative questions that encourage people to think about what they would want if they became seriously ill. To see the form click here.
- Massachusetts General Hospital held Zoom Town Halls to provide information and reduce isolation among their patients who are over 65 and those with chronic illnesses. Hundreds participated. Topics included Being Healthy at Home and what to expect during the next phase of COVID-19.
