The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation (BCBSMA Foundation) is now recruiting applicants for the eleventh cohort of emerging leaders for the Massachusetts Institute for Community Health Leadership (MICHL) program that begins this fall.
As some of you know, Anna used to work at the Foundation. "I was constantly blown away by the MICHL program and the people it produces," said Anna. The Coalition's Associate Director, Stephanie, is a MICHL alumna. Reflecting on the program, she shared, "I didn't anticipate the deep personal work that I would undergo during the program. It was a sincerely thoughtful approach to dissecting the role of structural racism in health care."
The goal of MICHL is to help participants:
- Increase their own personal impact,
- Strengthen their effectiveness in their organization,
- Enhance the organization's influence in the health care system, and
- Understand effective leadership in the context of privilege, health inequities, and racial equity.
Is there an emerging leader in your network? Are you thinking of applying?
Register now for a virtual MICHL overview session to learn more, ask questions, and hear from recent participants. Or, if you're ready, start your application that's due on Friday, August 20, 2021.
